Welcome to the idyllic Hærvej's Home!


This charming annex has been created to be your ultimate refuge, where you can immerse yourself in an oasis of calm in the middle of nature. Imagine cooking delicious meals over the impressive fire pit, surrounded by the darkness of the night and the stars, while creating memories that will last a lifetime.


Located in the middle of a beautiful forest, this home envelops you in the peaceful embrace of the trees and a quiet atmosphere. The annexe is equipped with all the comforts you need, including a practical mini-kitchen with fridge, oven and hotplates. Here you can prepare your favorite meals in the middle of the breathtaking nature.


Water is available and a natural toilet gives you an authentic outdoor experience. This home is ideal for two people and offers a breathtaking view of the forest.


With your own entrance directly down to Hærvejen, you can explore the surrounding countryside, where you might even come across wild boar (within an enclosure) and free-ranging majestic red deer grazing in a fenced area.


You can enjoy a wonderful holiday with us all year round, because our annex is equipped with heating! Even in winter, you can sit by the window in the annex and let yourself be enchanted by the idyll of the forest while enjoying a hot cup of tea.


We have ensured that the natural toilet is well insulated so that you can feel comfortably warm even when the weather is cold outside.


If you want to treat yourself to a bath, we offer this option for a small extra payment of DKK 25 per walk in our Lerhus.


Please note that if you want to enjoy the warmth of a traditionally built Finnish Sauna, you can rent it from our friendly neighbor for only DKK 450 for 3 hours of use. Note that the time may vary depending on whether she has guests in her Hærvejshytte.


You just have to go through the gate from our backyard and down to the bottom of the neighboring garden, where you will find the most fantastic and inviting sauna. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to heat it, where you have to add firewood every 20 minutes. Afterwards you can enjoy the warmth.

About the forest valley & the area:


Skovdalen is a sustainable valley, where everyone has built their own houses in clay or other completely natural options. Here you will find a unique atmosphere of calm & coziness.


Hærvejen goes right past the Annex and is thus an obvious place to settle down for the night if you are on a longer pilgrimage on the Jutland ridge.






5 km to the south from the annex you will find Rørbæk lake. Here, starting from the car park, you can choose between 12 different hikes in the source area and around Rørbæk Sø. The trails are easily accessible with parking spaces and information boards at the start. There are public toilets at both Gudenåen's source, Koutrupgård, Ballesbækgård and Vester Mølle.


5km north you will find Hampen Sø. Hampen Sø is a real natural gem in the central Jutland area with Hærvejen as its nearest neighbour. It lies 79 meters above sea level, and is thus the highest situated lake in Jutland. In addition, Hampen Sø is one of Denmark's cleanest bathing lakes.


There are therefore 2 beaches by the lake, which are often visited in the summer by tourists and bathers.
