The Cabin by the Stream

Do you want to be completely alone in nature? Then visit the cabin by the Aaen - in the middle of its own forest with a view of Hover Å, where you have the place all to yourself.

Our small, cozy cabin is located on a hilltop in the forest with its own terrace. Sit and enjoy the evening together and look out over the meadow and the stream, or find a spot by the stream to enjoy the sunset. There are beautiful paths around the forest and along the stream. It is possible to swim in the stream and if you have your own SUP boards, then bring them and paddle for a ride. If you are interested in fishing, you can buy a fishing license for our stream. There are both salmon and trout in the stream. Only fish what you can eat and comply with the minimum size.
If you want to turn up the extra luxury, book the wood-fired wilderness bath that is right outside the cabin. We will start the bath before you arrive. Order when booking.

The cabin has electricity, heating and running water. There is access to the toilet in the barn, where there is also a refrigerator, while the bath consists of either the cold thrill from the water fountain or a refreshing dip in the stream. There is a fire pit and cooking utensils for the fire, as well as service and cutlery. Firewood is included.

The cabin is equipped with a bed for 2 people and bedding. Linen and towel packages can be ordered when booking.

It is 8 km to Ringkøbing with the cozy town center, artisans, various markets throughout the summer, several good restaurants and other experiences such as Ringkøbing Fjord, Ringkøbing Museum and Naturkraft.

The North Sea is only 10 km away and towns such as Søndervig, Hvide Sande and Thorsminde offer lots of experiences for beach and outdoor life, such as swimming, surfing, fishing and walks by the water. There are plenty of good fish shops and outdoor shops here.

If you are into longer hiking, gathering or cycling trips, then Hoverdal plantation is worth a visit. The large state forest offers hours of nature experiences.

The cabin is perfect for a couple in need of some alternative coziness. Or just a couple of good friends who want to enjoy the peace.

Practical info:
The cabin contains a 1½ bed, table/chairs, fire pit with grill, cooking utensils for the fire and service for two people. Duvet and pillow for 2 people. The cabin is expected to be returned in a tidy condition, remember to wash the dishes and empty the trash after you, so that the cabin is returned in the same condition as when you received it. Final cleaning is included in the rental price.

It is not allowed to bring dogs or other pets.
