Scenic shelter with fantastic view

Our unique and cozy shelter is located on a scenic hilltop with a view over fields and meadows. You can lie in the shelter and enjoy the view over the rolling hills of Søhøjland and sit around the flames of the fire and talk. In our shelter, there is space to enjoy the peace and nature.

There is only one shelter, and it is located at a good distance from our country house. The shelter is spacious with mattresses for 4 people, blankets, and cozy lighting. Bring your own sheets, pillow, and duvet or sleeping bag. There is an option to purchase firewood so you can make a fire (35 DKK per bag). There are fire starters, a grill, a pan, and a kettle available to boil water. We provide a 10L canister of drinking water.

Please note that we do not have a toilet by the shelter. However, there is enough bush cover to hide in or a public toilet at Laven station.

The shelter is located only 600 meters from Laven station and is perfect for hikers or cyclists for a single overnight stay. It would be a perfect stop on the Himmelbjergruten or a cozy trip by train from Aarhus. You might also take a swim in Julsø, which is within walking distance from the shelter. We have parking available for cars.
