Unique mini house in Tokke

Experience the tranquility of the Norwegian wilderness in a luxurious Birdbox in Tokke municipality, Telemark. The cozy box is located right by the water, only 100 meters from the parking lot. Here you can sleep in a large ready-made double bed with good pillows and a double duvet, and wake up to a truly fantastic view. Feel the calm by Åmlivann, while the fish rise, the birds chirp, and the beaver glides quietly by. Take a fishing trip in the boat or sit on the dock and enjoy the peace.

Whether you are a nature lover or a nature photographer, the place has a completely unique location. The wildlife is rich while the nature looks like it was picked out of a fairy tale.
We can also tempt you with an unusual outdoor toilet and outdoor shower with a completely one-way glass in front, where you can enjoy the nature outside... but no one can see in.

We have set up a shelter that our guests can use, here there is a little extra storage space for things that don't need to be brought into the Birdbox, and there is a fire pit and electric grill for cooking and cozying up. We also have a dock with seating. When the ice goes off the water, we put out the boat that guests can use.

This experience is a bit like being on a camping trip, but the tent and sleeping bag are replaced with a cozy box. Bring food and drinks, good hiking shoes, warm clothes, headlamp, etc.

We want to preserve the nature around as much as possible. Bring all your trash with you, do not saw down trees for firewood, etc., and do not throw cigarette butts/snuff and other trash in nature.

The shower with one-way glass has a fantastic view over Åmlivann and is a well-functioning cat wash. The shower has a manual pumping system. The water is heated over a fire in a bucket that you take up to the shower. For those who have not tried this, it must be experienced. A fantastic feeling of freedom. The shower is not heated or insulated, so it is best suited for use in the warm season.
The incineration toilet is located next to the shower and has the same great view.
