In Åsbygda in Ringerike, you park at the host's farm, before walking 15 minutes at a leisurely pace up the terrain. With a panoramic view of the valley and an unobstructed location, you will find your igloo for the night. Here, all you have to do is sit back and gaze out at the horizon or up at the starry sky and let your thoughts wander wherever you want. Åsbygda is located in Ringerike Municipality, an elongated agricultural municipality with many villages and Hønefoss as the preferred center in the region. The municipality has many hiking opportunities. 

Åsbygda is located at the end of Nordmarka, not far from Ringkollen, so you can ski or cycle from Oslo all the way to the igloo. The trip takes 5-6 hours in partly hilly terrain, with departures from either Lommedalen, Sørkedalen or Tryvann in Oslo to Ringkollen and further down to the igloo. For the more leisurely minded, the drive from Oslo is about an hour, and there are buses from Drammen and Oslo with a change that will take you to your destination in 1.5 hours.
