The Birdbox is located in Bygstad in Sunnfjord municipality. The small airport in Førde, Bringeland, is only 10 minutes away from Bygstad for easy and convenient travel. From Førde, it takes 30 minutes to Bygstad center, then 10 minutes of driving to the parking lot at Stølshaugane. Follow the signs towards Storehesten and Rytnevegen (toll road kr 60). In Bygstad center, there is a grocery store.

Fantastic location! Spectacular view and a real special feeling to be in the birdbox surrounded by nature. A slight drawback that we had to keep the aggregate on in order to get the box heated etc, disturbing the silence we came for. But it was summer, so we kept it off most of the time. The host was really helpful, and even posted our portable stove when forgotten at the site.

Fantastic place with beautiful views, both over the valley and the fjord and up towards the mountains behind. Received good information from the host beforehand, and could just show up and enjoy. We were there on a very warm summer day, with intense heat inside the bird box, but it resolved easily by evening when the sun went down. Highly recommended!
