Sauva - idyllic and modern off-grid cabin in Drangedalsskogen in Telemark (Norway)

Welcome to Sauva – the very definition of a hidden gem in the forest at Ettestad in Drangedal.

Here, there is no electricity, water, or fuss – but in return, you get silence, birdsong, and genuine contact with nature. The cabin is newly renovated, stylishly furnished, and surrounded by forest and water. Large windows let nature in completely, creating a cozy atmosphere that invites calm and presence.
Start the day with yoga on the terrace or down by the dock – mats are ready under the bed. Or take a seat in the canoe for a quiet morning trip on the water. The area also offers great biking opportunities, mountain hikes, and cozy forest paths right outside the door. When you want to explore more, both Gautefallheia and Kragerø are a short drive away, with everything from mountains to coastal idyll.

The cabin has a large double bed and an extra bed, and is best suited for two adults and two children. It is equipped with a gas stove, gas refrigerator, simple water solution, and solar lighting inside and out. At the dock, you will find a canoe and a dinghy (life jackets and paddles are included). Parking is right by the cabin.
