Stay in a bright and delicate prairie wagon, just a few meters from the water. The prairie wagon has a comfortable double bed and a large window that allows you to wake up to a view right out into the lake. The balcony faces the evening sun, and around you, horses graze in the open landscape. The stay can be combined with a horseback ride in a western saddle.

This is a perfect accommodation for two who want something truly special – a taste of the wild west, combined with modern comfort. The wagon has a luxurious touch, with a historical cowboy vibe.

The prairie wagon is located on the Basnes peninsula by Mjermen. We don't think we are exaggerating when we say that Basnes is one of the most beautiful places in Eastern Norway. Basnes is a lively small farm with many horses. The farmyard itself is cozy and consists of charming houses and a barn. The buildings are built in old Norwegian farmhouse style combined with a rugged western/ranch touch.

The prairie wagon is secluded by the water, a short walk from the farmyard with no visibility except from the lake. The area is fenced, and you have it all to yourself. Parking is at the farmyard.

The prairie wagon has its own campfire area and double propane burners for cooking. Simple outdoor kitchen equipped with frying pan, pots, cups, and dishes. Solar lamp and candles for lighting.
With us, you get made beds and clean towels.
In the barn, you will find a toilet and shower with hot water, about 70 meters to walk from the prairie wagon.

The sandy beach is about 50 meters from the prairie wagon, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
