Accommodation in an exclusively furnished Arctic Dome. You have the entire place to yourself, and are only disturbed by the sounds of nature. Here you encounter a mix of history, culture, and nature that invites tranquility and relaxation.
Arrival: 20 minutes from E6 north of Grong, 5 minutes from the coastal road 2 km north of Høylandet center. From the parking lot, it takes 30-40 minutes to walk up to the site. You can also order a ride up with an ATV.
This is one of Namdal's hidden gems.
We hand over keys personally or arrange for another key pickup.
From January to March, we offer winter glamping, where transportation and training in the use of the site are included in the price.
The dome is heated with a wood stove and gas stove, so it takes some time before the dome gets warm. It is therefore recommended to bring some extra clothes to wear upon arrival, especially in winter. There is no running water here, but there is plenty of water in the stream. Included in the rental is a 5-liter jug of clean drinking water. There is no electricity, so from August to May, it is wise to bring a pocket or headlamp. Solar-powered light sources are available inside the mountain dome. Outside the dome, there is a nice seating area with access to a fire pit. Firewood and fire starters are provided inside the dome. Firewood can be replenished in the mountain barn.
We have installed a composting toilet in one of the buildings, and if the need is great, you have the option to take a shower in the mountain shower. This is a simple pump shower that works well for its purpose.
In the mountain barn, you have access to a small kitchenette with a gas refrigerator and two gas burners. This can be used for cooking and is used to heat water needed for the outdoor shower. Here you will also find the barn suite with two single beds that can be booked if you are more than two going on a trip.

We parked the car 2.5km from the domain and were picked up by the hosts on a huge ATV that drove us up the mountain slopes. When we reached the top, we were greeted by the most beautiful orange sky and the sun slowly setting over the mountains. The tent was magical in the evening light, and all evening we stoked the indoor stove, played games, and enjoyed ourselves. Outdoors, we had a fire pit going and looked at the clear starry sky in the lovely lounge chairs with fur. The night was cold, but the morning peaceful. We would love to come back!
