Villmarks Tårnet - TreeTop Fiddan is a real treetop cabin built in the treetops along a moose path on the shores of Svartevann.
At the end of the bog is Fiskekroken, a tiny little forest lake with perch that you can try fishing for dinner.
The location far from both people and roads, describes the name of the cottage and the building style very well - this is really in the middle of the southern wilderness. Here you will find guaranteed peace and quiet for soul and mind !!

The actual cabin of around 20 m2 is built at the top of the treetops on Villmarks Tårnet, and together with the loft forms the 2 upper floors. From here there are great views to both lakes. The beds are handmade in birch logs with comfortable mattresses. A triple bunk bed, a double bed and a short single bed - a total of 6 beds. If desired, one person can also sleep in the hammock or on the small sofa, so the total capacity is 7 guests.

The kitchen is equipped with what is needed to make a master meal. The hob and fridge are gas-powered, and there is a great wood stove with hob and oven that gives extra good taste in the food. The dining table has 6 chairs, and from the sofa corner you have a panoramic view of Svartevannet.

Emphasis is placed on creating a real "back to nature" experience. The Wilderness Tower is clad with birch paneling and lit with candles. The flames from above give a cozy flickering light before you crawl to bed, because here you have to burn wood to keep warm in the cold season. The only technical device available here is a battery pack with USB output for charging mobile phones and a couple of lamps.

Rainwater is collected in a tank on the loft, and this works as washing water in the kitchen and in the sink. If there is no rain, water is pumped up from the stream. In the event of frost, washing water from the stream must be carried in jugs. Drinking water from the farm is delivered in plastic jugs.

On the porch it is airy and nice with a good view. Here you will find tables and benches, and bird boards where small birds and squirrels from the forest like it well. Moose, deer and roe deer actually appear often. Especially if you stay calm and get up early, the chances are good to see wild animals. Cranes have been observed on several occasions. Ducks, geese and swans thrive in Svartevannet, which is shallow and nutritious. In the spring, the grouse play up to dance, they can be heard a kilometer away.

Under the cabin is the woodshed with carpenter bench and ladder up to a kind of barn, so in total there are 4 floors! There are hammers, saws, nails and pieces of planks for free use for those who want to make a bird box or maybe a small boat to sail in the water with. From the barn you can jump out on a net that is stretched between the trees. Fun for the kids to play on or as airy relaxation for the adults.

On the pier you will find a Wilderness SPA with hot tub and sauna, both of which have spectacular views of Svartevannet. Both the hot tub and sauna are heated with wood burning. This quickly becomes the favorite place when it is a little cold to sit outside. The outdoor shower is nice to cool off in after finishing the sauna bath.

On the forest floor is the campfire site with solid tables and benches. Bonfires and barbecues are popular and an important part of the nature experience. Bring good barbecue food or buy organic meat from Fiddan Øko Gård.

The outdoor toilet has a warming Styrofoam seat with a panoramic view of Langemyra, so it is easy to dream away while sitting behind the door with a heart in it. The building is designed to make the toilet as odorless as possible with a double composting chamber and straw walls.

From the car park you have 2 choices to get to the Wilderness Tower.
1. Follow the path along Svartevann through the pine forest. Distance: 350 meters
2. Row or paddle over Svartevann by canoe or rowing boat. Distance 300 meters
Canoes and rowing boats are for free use, and there is a jetty by the cabin to tie up the boat.

Everything in and around Villmarks Tårnet is mainly built of materials from the forests on Fiddan, much is actually taken less than a stone's throw from the cottage. Sustainability and local or recycled materials have been a common thread throughout the construction process.
