On Bærum's 7th highest peak lies a sports cabin with a fantastic view over the Oslofjord from Tryvann to Drøbaksundet. The cabin is located as the southernmost cabin on the ridge above Krydsbyløypa, with an unobstructed view over Bærumsmarka, Nordmarka, Holmenkollen, Oslo city, and the fjord. Trulsrudkollen is a hidden gem, higher than Kolsåstoppene, somewhat set back in relation to Haugskollen, but with a much better view. The view is spectacular in the evening as well. When surrounded by the tranquility of the forest, one can enjoy the starry sky while catching a glimpse of the city's lights in the distance. A large, secluded plot of 6.5 decares without neighbors or visibility. Among other viewpoint cabins for rent in Marka, there is probably only Fuglemyrhytta at Vettakollen, rented out by DNT, that has something similar, although the view from there cannot compare to Trulsrudkollen in any way! The cabin is perfectly suited for one to two couples, a group of friends, or if one seeks closeness to nature all alone. Right behind the cabin is untouched forest, which is a paradise for children ('fairy tale forest').
