Lyngen Alps Panorama
Cabin · 8 guests
Welcome to Lyngen Alps Panorama! Modern cabin built in 2016 and the perfect place to stay if you are in Lyngen for skiing, to watch the northern light or just a family trip. The cabin is 77 m2 on the 1st floor including livingroom and kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, hall and a small storage room. The 2nd floor is 32m2 including 2 bedrooms and a room with tv. The place is called Kunes by locals and is located 12 km north from Lyngseidet center and about 2 hours drive from Tromso airport. The cabin is located in a really beautiful area where you can fish on the rocks directly below and go for walks in the summer in great hiking terrain. In winter, you can put on your skis right outside the cabin and start your trip. From the cabin you can look at several of the peaks belonging to the mighty Lyngen Alps, such as Fastdalstinden, Store Kjostinden, Tafeltinden, Goalborri, Sorbmegaisa, Storhaugen and others. As a skiing destination, Lyngen needs no further presentation. Visiting tourists from mainly Europe, but also from all over the world come to the Lyngen during the ski season, which lasts from mid-February until the end of May. For those who like to see the midnight sun there is hardly a better place in the world to enjoy it. The midnight sun arrive around May 20 and can be enjoyed every night for several weeks. In September the Northern Light appears, which in periods and in clear weather can be seen in the sky until late March. Only 2 km from the cabin you can visit Aurora Spirit, world's northernmost whiskey destillery. They offer whiskey tasting, guided tours and various activities that can be booked in advance. In 2022, a sherpa staircase with approx. 950 steps opened in the center of Lyngseidet. It has been under construction for the past 2 years. In 2023, the staircase will be completed and will then have approximately 1,100 steps in total up to 900 meters above sea level. About 45 minutes by car from the cabin you can visit the popular Blåisvatnet (the Blue Lake). It is a gorgeous lake with an intense blue color that stands in stark contrast to the steep mountains in the background. It's clear blue color of the water may be explained by the high content of silt particles in the meltwater from the Lenangs glacier. Getting there is a 4 km hike from the parking that suits young and old alike. If you are looking for accommodation with a fantastic view in the center of the Lyngen Alps, then we have a good alternative for you.
