Welcome to Birdbox Bergen, located in the countryside of Bergen. Here you are at one with nature, while enjoying comfort. Here you can enjoy sunrise all year round from your bed. The sunset can be spectacular in winter, while on the long, bright summer evenings you can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in and outside the Birdbox. If you are really lucky, you can even experience the northern lights in winter.

Bergen Birdbox is located on the pasture of Øvre Haukås Gård, where sheep roam all year round. In spring you may be lucky and experience a panoramic view of the lambing.

The location
Access to Birdbox Bergen is via a path from the farm. There is a climb for much of the walk up to the Birdbox, a walk that takes about 10 minutes to walk (about 400 meters). Western Norway is known for a lot of rain, and we therefore recommend waterproof shoes.

The Birdbox is furnished with a lovely made-up double bed, two good chairs and a small table. At the entrance at the end there is a small kitchenette with a sink. Here you will find a kettle and a small refrigerator.
There is no running water.

The toilet is in a separate box a few meters from the Birdbox. Here there is an incineration toilet with a simple solution for cleaning hands.

Outside the birdbox there is a small terrace with two chairs that you can use.

Guest access
The Birdbox and the associated box with toilet are for your use during the entire rental period.
The area around the Birdbox and other outfield are free to use/enjoy.

Other things worth noting
There is no grocery store in the immediate vicinity of the Birdbox. It may be wise to plan to purchase food and drinks in advance of your stay. When you arrive at the Birdbox, you will find water in the refrigerator, as well as a container of water. In addition to a mini-fridge, you will find a kettle.
