Hotel bed in the middle of nature close to Bergen

Welcome to Birdbox Bergen, located in a rural area in Bergen. Here, you are one with nature while enjoying comfort. You can enjoy the sunrise all year round from the bed. The sunset can be spectacular in winter, while in the long, bright summer evenings, you can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere inside and outside the Birdbox. If you are really lucky, you might even experience the Northern Lights in winter.

Bergen Birdbox is situated on the pasture of Øvre Haukås Gård, where sheep roam all year round. In spring, you may be fortunate enough to experience panoramic views of the lambing.

The Location
Access to Birdbox Bergen is via a path from the farmyard. There is an incline on large parts of the walk up to the Birdbox, a journey that takes about 10 minutes to walk (about 400 meters). The West Coast is known for a lot of rain, so we recommend waterproof shoes.

The Birdbox is furnished with a lovely made-up double bed, two comfortable chairs, and a small table. At the entrance, there is a small kitchenette with a sink. Here you will find a kettle and a small refrigerator.
There is no running water.

The toilet is in a separate box a couple of meters from the Birdbox. Here, there is a composting toilet with a simple solution for handwashing.

Outside the Birdbox, there is a small terrace with two chairs that you can use.

Guest Access
The Birdbox and the associated box with the toilet are for your use during the entire rental period.
The area around the Birdbox and the surrounding wilderness is free for you to use/enjoy.

Other Things Worth Noting
In the immediate vicinity of the Birdbox, there is no grocery store. It may be wise to plan your purchases of food and drink ahead of your stay. When you arrive at the Birdbox, you will find water in the refrigerator, as well as a container of water. In addition to a mini-fridge, you will find a kettle.
