Have you ever wondered what it's like to sleep like a bird in a cozy nest? With us, you can try just that.

The bird box hut is anything but a primitive nest. With us, you will find peace in front of the fireplace, in the sunken bathtub, or perhaps sitting in the round window with a panoramic view of the fjord.

Fuglekassehytta has three sleeping areas with room for six people in three lovely double beds. Here you can choose to sleep with a view of the fjord, look directly at the wildlife in the forest, or sleep among the treetops under the starry sky in the nest at the top.

With us, the idea is that you can just take someone you love with you and calm down. 

The unique accommodation has all facilities. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, microwave/oven, fridge and dishwasher, as well as all cups, dishes, dishes and cutlery. On the shelf is locally roasted coffee from the other side of the fjord waiting for you, as well as a selection of teas.

The bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. Here you will also find soft bathrobes that you can walk around in. The beds are made when you arrive. Duvets and pillows consist of hypoallergenic Norwegian down.

Breakfast is included. For breakfast, a local food basket with good ingredients from the food dish Trøndelag is delivered. It is delivered to the door at the agreed time.

The cabin is built on an arable islet on the farm Vestigården, which grows grain. Only a field separates the cabin from the Borgenfjord and the view of Den Gyldne Omvei in Inderøy. There are several great organized hiking trails and cycle routes in the immediate area. You can read more about them in the cabin book.

The cabin was designed by Rallar Arkitekter from Trondheim. It is set up from solid Norwegian wood from Steinkjer by Arkitre in Verdal. The interior has been contributed by Studio Strek from Inderøy. We are proud of the use of sustainable and short-traveled materials and manufacturers. And the round windowsill you can lie in is second to none, because the hosts designed it themselves.

From the car park down to the bird box cabin, it is only a minute's walk, but the cabin is not suitable for those with poor mobility as there are a few steep stairs.

You can order so that food is ready on arrival.

The cabin is rented as a unit, regardless of whether you are two people or six people. However, we hope that you want to stay for two nights and therefore offer two nights' accommodation at a better price - then breakfast is included on both days.
