SUMMER: Secluded Glamping, Forest Spa and a private outdoor chef cooking with exclusive ingredients

{b}Deep in the forest, next to an old summer pasture, you'll find Forest Camp Dalarna, a place where the tranquility and simplicity of nature offer a chance for deep relaxation and learning.{b}

The Camp is run by Elle Nikishkova, one of the most prominent outdoor chefs in Sweden. Here, you can enjoy fantastic meals prepared in our fine outdoor kitchen, where the scents of the fire and flavors from wild foraged food create magical culinary experiences.

Breakfast and a three course dinner is always included when our guests stay in Forest Camp. This way the guests can experience exquisite local ingredients such as reindeer meet, local cheeses and other traditional specialities cooked in the outdoors. If our guests are interested, they can join in during dinner preparations and get a crash course on exciting outdoor cooking techniques. Here, our guests have a chance to learn several important outdoor skills like making fire with a fire rod and natural tinder or how to brew the best forest coffee over an open fire.

There are alot of outdoor activities that can be done around the camp, such as hiking, biking, waterfall sightseeing and fishing. A beautiful creek runs through the camp, full of tasty brook trout. Our guests can borrow fishing gear for free to catch their own lunch in the clear mountain waters at the camp. Fishing license is to be purchased online by the guests at a cost of 100 sek per day.

Available to the guests and included in the price is our Forest Spa with a wood fire heated wilderness bath, cold plunge tub and a sauna tent. Feel free to take a dip in the refreshing waters of the creek after the hot tub or sauna. Towels and cozy bathrobes are free to use for our guests.

The creek is our source of drinking water. It comes straight down from the Mountain of Vedungsfjället. Vedungsfället is also an interesting place to visit both during summer by foot and winter by snowmobile or skis. The trek up towards the mountain is Elle's secret place to forage for edible wild herbs, berries and mushrooms. The is an opportunity for our guests to book private guided foraging tours in the surrounding area to learn and pick edibles in this serene environment. The foraged goods are later included in the outdoor cooking in the evening. Elle is an educated forager and has been teaching outdoor cooking, mushroom and wild plant foraging for more than 10 years.

After a day relaxing or exploring in the wild, our guests sleep comfortably in insulated glamping tents, equipped with stoves to stay warm all year round. The raised camp beds are made with soft mattresses, reindeer skins and cozy sleeping bags for a truly snug and comfortable night’s sleep in the heart of nature.
