Salto do Lobo - Casas na Montanha com Piscinas naturais - Casa Ribeira

Casa da Ribeira is a charming granite chalet, built in the 1960s by the renowned writer António Alçada Baptista. Inspired by his grandfather, the first to build a house in Serra da Estrela, and by his father, former mayor of Covilhã, António created this literary refuge on a waterfall, surrounded by a stunning natural landscape.

In this picturesque house, António Alçada Baptista found inspiration to write his first book, "Peregrinação Interior Vol. 1". The chalet also hosted illustrious friends of the author, such as the Portuguese writer José Cardoso Pires, who wrote one of his books here, and the Brazilian writers Jorge Amado and Zélia Gattai.
