“Hi! We are Rick, Karin and Axel – owners and operators of Femund Canoe Camp. Our business was founded in 1974 by Bengt Magnusson (Karin’s father) and Morgan Nilsson. Since then, we have been based in the same beautiful location in the small village of Sorken, which is located on the shores of Lake Femundsjøen and stretches eastwards along the peaceful Sorkelva River. During the summer season, we have 3–5 experienced employees with a background in outdoor life and wilderness tourism. Over more than 50 years, we have built up unique expertise in tailoring unforgettable wilderness experiences for guests from both Norway and abroad. With us, you can rent canoes, packrafts and hiking equipment, get help with route planning and embark on everything from leisurely day trips to longer expeditions in Femund–Engerdal. Our glamping tents are located on their own at the wilderness camp – here you get an overnight stay close to nature. At Femund Canoe Camp, you can meet Rick, Karin and Axel, as well as old man Bengt and his dog Olaf. We are known locally for our sunny terrace, ice cream and coffee. We look forward to meeting you!”
