In the beautiful Gudenådal, located between Silkeborg, Viborg, and Randers, you will find AaHuset.
A charming little yellow thatched house with an annex, idyllically situated right down by the Gudenå river.
"AaHuset" dates back to 1943 and served as an arms depot for the resistance movement during World War II. The house is now furnished with everything needed for a couple of days away from the stress and hustle of everyday life.

Here you will find the area's most beautiful nature grounds completely undisturbed, yet right in the middle of Bjerringbro.
AaHuset comes with 2 hectares of undisturbed nature grounds, with fruit trees, forest, meadow, and brook. On the grounds, you will find over 30 different species of trees.
On clear days, we recommend you put on a sweater and go outside to admire the most beautiful night sky.

The Gudenå is Denmark's longest river at 160 km. It flows from Tinnet Krat to Randers Fjord.
Along the river, you will meet Denmark's national bird, the swan, which often glides past AaHuset with its young. Ducks and herons also frequent the area, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a kingfisher.
Along the Gudenå path, on the other side of the river, you can see grazing cows and wading birds.

Welcome inside
From the house's entrance, you enter the living room, which is furnished with a sofa bed, armchair, writing desk, and dining table with 4 chairs.
If you need to follow the news, we have installed internet and a small TV with Chromecast.
In the small kitchen, there is a stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, egg cooker, and all the dishes for 4 people.
The house also includes a large outdoor gas grill.
On the first floor, you will find two smaller rooms with visible beams and a view over the Gudenå. With mattresses for a midday nap and a lovely workspace, there is an opportunity to completely unwind or perhaps immerse yourself in a writing project.
The house has a bathroom with a toilet and shower.
