Welcome to “Gudenå Lodge”

In the middle of the forest you will find this place with soul, on a large undisturbed plot.

Ideal for a getaway with family and friends.

Here you will get up close to roe deer, squirrels and hedgehogs, and you can follow the birdlife in the forest.

The white-tailed eagle can be seen over the area when it flies out from its haunt at Tange Sø.

“Gudenå Lodge” belongs to the landowners' association “skovagervej.dk" Take a look at the big book by the information board and read about the area's plants and wildlife.

In the common area behind the house you can play ball and maybe meet some of the locals who live in the forest.

There are also some lovely hiking trails in the area. In Tyrebækken you might be lucky enough to see a sea trout that has gone up to spawn in the stream.

The nights are quiet and if it is cloudless you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky and hear the night owl hoot.

The house that we call “Gudenå Lodge” is located undisturbed on a 5,500 m2 plot, and is one of the first to be built in the area of ​​Skibelund, where there are about 60 holiday homes.

Here you can stay up to 7 people in the middle of the forest. Close to the Gudenå River, the Gudenå Trail and Bjerringbro. It is also not far from the Energy Museum and the Gudenå Central.

Welcome inside.

The oldest building from 1968 is furnished as a kitchen and living room. With a dining table and cozy corner, you can all be together if the weather is not for staying in the courtyard.

The Annex from 1986 has an entrance hall, two nice bedrooms with good beds, and a toilet with shower.

In "Stubben", the round forest cabin under the trees, there are three sleeping places and a wardrobe.

The courtyard that connects the houses is cozy with Trip Trap garden furniture, herbs and a gas grill.

"Gudenå Lodge" has a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, glass ceramic stove, microwave and coffee maker, kettle.

The bathroom has a makeup mirror, hairdryer and drying rack.

There are binoculars in the living room so you can follow the wildlife in the forest. We have also put out games and books for you.

There is free internet in the Lodge.

On the grounds is also the small house “Bixen” where you will find a tow truck, some garden games and other goodies.

We will put out bed linen and bath towels for you. We have also put out tea towels and dishcloths for you in the kitchen. You only need to bring food and your personal luggage.

Various drinks and Tapas for dinner and breakfast can be pre-ordered and will be ready for you when you arrive at the house.

The house is heated with electric radiators and if necessary, the gas stove is used.

We ask you to turn off the heat when windows and doors are open, and when you leave.

The Gudenåen is, with its 160 km, Denmark's longest river. It runs from Tinnet Krat to Randers Fjord.

At the river promenade in the middle of Bjerringbro there are bathing facilities and a sauna. Here you can rent canoes and mountain bikes at “Natouren” during the summer months and enjoy ice cream and a cup of coffee at “Isfuglen”

On the market square in Bjerringbro you will find “Niels Due Jensens Plads”, where light and water together provide a very special experience for children and adults. Bjerringbro has several specialty shops, restaurants and a myriad of grocery stores.
