Spend the night in a cabin on stilts out on the rock and feel the sensation of "floating over the water".

Cook in the cottage's kitchen, or on the fire pit out on the terrace. Feel the cozy warmth in the cabin when you fire up the stove. The experience of the simple life provides room for reflection and tranquility, close to nature.

On the terrace you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book in a hammock built into the terrace. Close your eyes while floating in the hammock and enjoy the view over the 5 km long Byavatnet and the Trondheimsfjord.

Follow a signposted and prepared gravel/tile path into the cabin. From the car park, it is 1 km to walk into the cabin. You pass fields and an ancient troll forest before you come out on the rock where the cabin floats above the terrain with a magical view of Byavatnet and the Trondheimsfjord.

The cabin is unique with its location and architecture. You can open the folding door and the folding window and let nature into the cabin. Or lie down in the hammock on the covered terrace and enjoy the view and the tranquility nature gives you.

This cabin sleeps five. Large double bed (180cm) with a panoramic view of Byavatnet and the surrounding mountains (downstairs on the 1st floor), up in the loft you can sleep under the skylight and look up at the sky (120cm bed and 150cm bed).
There are 5 duvets (140x220cm) and pillows in the cabin. Bed linen and small towels are included and are located in the cabin. The cabin is built on stilts (pine trees), when it's windy you can feel it inside the cabin. An exciting experience.

The cabin has a bathroom with bio-toilet and water from a can by the sink.
Power for lighting as well as for charging telephones etc from the solar system (12v).
The kitchen is equipped with what you need for cooking and has a gas fridge and 2 gas hobs, as well as a wood-burning stove with a hob and a sink with a jug of water. Out on the veranda there are 5 good chairs and a bench around a fire pit. Here you can grill and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Firewood and clean water (30 litres) for washing hands/cooking/drinking can be found in the cabin.

Included in the rent is the loan of a rowing boat (shared with our other guests), life jackets and fishing equipment (in season approx. May-October).

You can choose to book a local breakfast package when booking this accommodation. We also rent out SUPs, kayaks, snowshoes and ice fishing equipment. 

If you need transport from the airport (35 km) / the train station (4 km from us), please contact us and we can help you with this. We can also shop for you by request and shopping list if you arrive after the store is closed.
