Stay overnight in a cabin on stilts out on the rock and feel the feeling of "floating above the water".

Cook in the cabin's kitchen, or on the campfire out on the terrace. Feel the warm warmth in the cabin when you light the fire in the oven. The experience of the simple life provides room for reflection and peace, close to nature.

On the terrace you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book in a hammock that is built into the terrace. Close your eyes while you float in the hammock and enjoy the view of the 5 km long Byavatnet and the Trondheimsfjord.

Follow a signposted and prepared gravel/chip path to the cabin. From the parking lot it is 1 km to walk to the cabin. You pass fields and an ancient troll forest before you come out on the rock where the cabin floats above the terrain with a magical view of Byavatnet and the Trondheimsfjord.

The cabin is unique in its location and architecture. You can open the folding door and folding window and let nature into the cabin. Or lie down in the hammock on the covered terrace and enjoy the view and peace that nature gives you.

This cabin has five beds. Large double bed (180cm) with panoramic views of Byavatnet and the surrounding mountains (downstairs on the 1st floor), up in the loft you can sleep under the skylight and look up at the sky (120cm bed and 150 cm bed).
There are 5 duvets (140x220cm) and pillows in the cabin. Bed linen and small towels are included and are located in the cabin. The cabin is built on stilts (pine trees), when it is windy it feels good inside the cabin. An exciting experience.

The cabin has a bathroom with a bio-toilet and water from a can by the sink.
Electricity for lights and for charging phones etc from a solar cell system (12v).
The kitchen is equipped with what you need for cooking and has a gas refrigerator and 2 gas hobs, as well as a wood-burning stove with hob and sink with water jug. Out on the veranda there are 5 comfortable chairs and a bench around a fire pit. Here you can grill and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Firewood and clean water (30 liters) for washing hands/cooking/drinking can be found at the cottage.

Included in the rent is the loan of a rowing boat (shared with our other guests), life jackets and fishing equipment (in season approx. May-October).

You can choose to book a local breakfast package when booking this accommodation. We also rent out SUP, kayak, snowshoes and ice fishing equipment.

If you need transport from the airport (35 km) / train station (4 km from us), please contact us and we can help you with this. We can also do the shopping for you upon request and a shopping list if you arrive after the store is closed.
