Treetop cabin for romance and nature experiences

This treetop cabin stands securely on steel frames, on top of a plateau, with its "nose" into the elm and ash forest. The cabin is approximately 15 m2 and contains a kitchen area and a living room with a 150 x 200 cm bed that provides good sleeping comfort. Drawers under the bed for storage. The kitchen has two hotplates, a refrigerator and a kettle, and everything else needed to prepare and eat food. There is also a folding table and two folding chairs. The cabin also has a toilet with a washbasin. A handheld shower makes it possible to shower in the 1.5 m2 "bathroom". 
The cabin is perfect for those who want to relax in the treetops, perhaps turn off your mobile phone and listen to the birdsong and the lapping of the waves from the lounge chairs on the balcony. Total silence reigns here, interrupted only in the evening by the screech owls. Great close contact with birds and squirrels, and in the winter you also get a fjord view. It disappears a bit with the leaves on the trees in the summer, but then the treetop feeling also increases. Parking 25 meters away from the cabin. 

Space for two adults. If you bring children, it is recommended to bring your own baby cot.

The place
Hardanger Fjordtun has two cabins and a house, on Mælen outside Herand. The idyllic place is located on the sunny side of the Hardangerfjord, at the end of a 3 kilometer side road. Here you have sun until late in the evening. In fact, it is more often sunny here than elsewhere. The proof is in the warm old forest that can be found here. The light over the fjord otherwise gives the place a magical view no matter what the weather. This is a good place to stay if you want to enjoy the silence, lie down and watch the clouds all day, swim or fish. You can also be active and take a trip to the summer ski center at Folgefonna or the trip to Trolltunga, which starts about 1 hour away. There are endless hiking opportunities nearby, so bring your hiking boots. A path leads down to beautiful rocky cliffs and a pebble beach, about 5 minutes' walk. There is also a pier here to fish from, and perhaps a rowboat available.
