Welcome to Aurora, a cozy annex nestled in the serene surroundings of Sognefjorden. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the fjord while being immersed in nature, with a short walk leading you to a bathing area and fantastic hiking opportunities.
Aurora consists of two separate bedrooms and a small entrance area, with a total floor area of approximately 24 m². For bookings of two guests, one bedroom is usually prepared. If you would prefer separate rooms, please let us know when booking. The second room will not be made available to other guests during your stay.
Aurora offers a simple yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for those who appreciate a nature-oriented escape. Please note that there is no kitchen, shower, living room, or indoor toilet. However, you will have access to a private outdoor toilet, an outdoor sink with hot and cold drinking water, a kettle, and a fire pit with barbecue supplies. Enjoy your meals outdoors with seating that boasts stunning fjord views.
Keep in mind that power and hot water are limited, and cooking can be done over the fire pit, depending on weather conditions and local fire regulations. Aurora is particularly suited for couples, friends, or small families seeking a basic overnight stay, tranquility, and proximity to nature — not a hotel standard or a fully equipped cabin. The fjord is just a 3–5 minute walk away, inviting you to embrace the beauty of your surroundings.
From approximately 15 April to 15 October, guests have access to an outdoor sink with hot and cold water. During the colder months, the water is turned off to prevent freezing, and bottled drinking water and wet wipes are provided instead. Winter stays are therefore more basic, but Aurora remains open and heated.

Mariann and Stian – calm and friendly hosts with three children and two whippets. We took over an abandoned cabin in the summer of 2025 and are gradually renovating it with natural materials, reuse, circular economy, and no-waste principles, while preserving the cabin's charm. We love spending family time in the cabin's tranquility and nature, and we would like to give guests the opportunity to experience the same recreation close to the forest, fjord, and mountains.
