In idyllic Nedre Amla in Kaupanger, lies Luna, a charming family cabin with a great view of the Sognefjord. Here you can enjoy sunny days on several terraces, surrounded by nature and just a few minutes' walk to the fjord and swimming area.

The cabin, which was built in 1971, has retained its unique soul over the years. Practical improvements have been made to ensure comfort, but the original style gives Luna a charming character. The property is best suited for four to five guests, but can accommodate a maximum of six.

When you book Luna, you have the entire property to yourself without other guests present. Luna is always included. The bedrooms in Aurora are prepared when the number of guests or desired sleeping arrangement makes it necessary. Rooms that are not in use may be locked, but are never rented out to others during your stay.

The annex Aurora has two separate bedrooms with one double bed in each room. The main cabin Luna has a short double bed (185 cm) that is best suited for children or shorter adults, a daybed, and a double sofa bed in the living room. When the sofa bed is in use, the living area becomes more cramped.

The beds are made up before arrival and one large and one small towel per person is provided. The cabin's outdoor area is private and enclosed by a fence with a height of between 80-100 cm - perfect for pets (a large dog crate is ready for use).

For an authentic cabin experience, we have both a composting toilet and an outdoor toilet — simple and practical solutions adapted to traditional cabin standards. From the terrace, you can pick plums and currants when they are ripe, or enjoy an evening by the fire pit (with some firewood and charcoal ready for use).

Surrounded by beautiful nature, there are many activities nearby: morning and evening swims in the fjord, hiking trails, and spectacular mountain hikes. For the more adventurous, SUP boards can be pre-ordered, and a small selection of life jackets is available upon arrival. Important to know

The place has simple cabin standards. The power capacity is limited, so multiple power-consuming devices should not be used simultaneously.

The water heater has a capacity of 28 liters. This corresponds to about one shower of up to five minutes. Allow about 45 minutes before the water is hot again for the next shower.

There is parking space for one car on the property. Please contact us in advance if you are coming with more cars.
