Experience nature from a warm, modern and well-designed wooden cabin. The cabin is round, which gives it a very special atmosphere, and is located above the Tessungåe River, which originates on the Hardangervidda plateau. The experience focuses on the simple pleasures we have in nature, combined with modern architecture.

The wooden cabin has a sleeping loft, a separate alcove and a large bunk bed. The kitchen has four gas burners and a refrigerator, there is also a wet room where you can wash yourself with water heated by a wood-burning stove. The cabin is in many ways like a traditional mountain cabin, you have to fetch water from the river and light a candle in the evening. The cabin is located right down by the riverbank, but it is not far to walk from the parking lot to the cabin, if you have a lot to carry you can drive almost all the way to the entrance.

The kitchen is well equipped with kitchen utensils, there are also some dry goods such as salt, pepper and tea. Freezer elements are used to cool goods. We have two freezers located about 100 m from the treehouse. Here you can put the defrosted refrigerants and get new ones. Here there are also opportunities to get drinking water. There is no oven in the hut, so you have to plan food that can be cooked on the stove.

There is a wet room with the possibility of washing yourself. The water is heated on a wood-fired stove and taken into the bathroom. There is also an “emergency toilet” under the hut, this must be emptied if used. An outdoor toilet is mainly used at the entrance to the treehouse. We also have a sauna at the camp, about 100 meters from the hut. 

There is a table for 6 people in the hut, and you can bring a table and chairs in from the veranda if you want to sit. There are several LED lights available, both on battery and solar cells. There are also many lanterns that are used with candlelight.

In the sleeping loft there is a 160 bed, on the second floor is the sleeping alcove with a 150 bed and the bunk bed with two 90 mattresses. These are divided into two separate rooms, but there is no door between them. 

All railings follow Norwegian building laws, but we recommend that children under 10 years of age should not stay alone in the treehouse
