Cliff Camping light

Ever heard of Cliff Camping? Where people sleep in a hanging tent suspended on a cliff high up in the air? Maybe too extreme for you?

As our new unique place to stay, we have created a Cliff Camping light version for all those, who would like to get that little thrill and excitement of sleeping up in the air without being afraid all night.

Suspended just about 2m above the ground on a sunny balcony above the fjord, you get to sleep in a very comfortable and unqie type of hammock that is attached to the rock.
The so-called portaledge tents were initially invented by professional climbers to be used on multi-day big wall climbs. We want to make this experience accessible for everyone who would like to get a taste of this extreme type of camping.

The small campground in Fresvik, just 20 minutes from the starting point of Trolltunga and the city centre of Odda, offers incredible views over the Hardangerfjord and Folgefonna Glacier on the other side. A small path leads down to the fjord where you can chill in the sunshine, take a swim in the refreshing water, or try your luck at fishing.
The campground possesses a small container building with sinks, toilets, showers, a washing machine, and a water boiler. Next to your camp you can find a seating area where you can also make a bonfire if it's not too dry, please check the Norwegian weather forecast on yr.no to see if there's a fire ban. If in doubt, just reach out to us.

You are welcome to bring all camping equipment (sleeping bags etc.) yourself or you can rent what ever you need on the check-out page.
