Håvestøl nature camp is a simple and small nature campsite located beautifully by a small stream with a nice view of a mountain and has scenic surroundings while being a short distance from the road. The campsite has an outdoor kitchen with cooking facilities and kitchen equipment, an outdoor living room, and a campfire area, as well as the option to rent a hot tub and a small wood-fired sauna.
The camp does not have electricity but has solar panels in the kitchen so you can charge your mobile phone with a USB cable. Please bring your own USB cable. There is free drinking water in the kitchen, and the utility water is fetched from the stream. All toilets are biological. Guests can borrow a rowing boat for free, which is in a nearby lake, Lognavatn. 6.5 km (bring your own life jackets). Many nice hiking trails and mountain hiking opportunities in Åseral municipality.
At the camp, there is also a marked path to the mountain.
Rock climbing can also be tried at Sletafjellet, which is right nearby.
We are located at 450 m above sea level, so it can be cold at night even in summer. After September 1, camping spots are only for guests who are used to sleeping in cold/winter tents.
There is also the possibility to rent a spot in winter.
Note: In winter, approximately September 15 - May 15, the outdoor kitchen and living room are closed. You can make a campfire right near your tent.
The sauna and hot tub are also moved to our farm nearby and can be used there.
The camp does not have showers, but it is possible to rent a hot tub and sauna for an extra fee.
A nice spa experience. Combine it with a dip in the river.
