Håvestøl nature camp is a simple and small nature campsite located beautifully by a small stream with a nice view over a mountain and has scenic surroundings while being a short distance from the road. The campsite has an outdoor kitchen with cooking facilities and kitchen equipment, an outdoor living room, and a campfire area, as well as the option to rent a hot tub and a small wood-fired sauna. There is space for tents, and you can also rent sleeping hammocks, hanging tents (tree tents), or small cabins on wheels if you prefer to sleep within four walls. All can be rented here on Airbnb when everything is ready.
The camp does not have electricity but has a solar panel system in the kitchen so you can charge your mobile phone with a USB cable. Bring your own USB cable. There is free drinking water in the kitchen and the utility water is fetched from the stream. All toilets in the area are biological. All guests can borrow a rowing boat for free that is in a nearby water (bring your own life jackets). There are many nice hiking trails and mountain hiking opportunities in Åseral municipality.
At the camp, there is also a marked trail to the mountain.
Rock climbing can also be tried at Sletafjellet, which is right near the campsite. We also offer several small cabins here at the nature camp for rent and larger cabins in the nearby area. It is fully possible to rent one of the cabins and just come for a trip to rent a hot tub at the campsite.
-You can borrow a free rowing boat in nearby water about 6.5 km from the camp (2 hours per guest). Bring your own life jacket.
We are located at 450 m above sea level, so it can be cold at night even in summer. After September 1, tent space is only for guests who are used to sleeping in cold/winter tents.
There is also the possibility to rent space in winter.
Note: In winter, approximately September 15 - May 15, the outdoor kitchen and outdoor living room are closed. Then you can make a campfire right near your tent.
The sauna and hot tub are also moved to our farm nearby and can be used there.
The camp does not have a shower, but it is possible to rent a hot tub and sauna for an extra fee.
It is possible to rent a hot tub and barrel sauna for an extra fee. A nice spa experience. Combine it with a dip in the river.
