Cozy cabin by the Hodnekilen (Otra River) in Evje and Hornnes.

The cabin has 1 bedroom with a family bunk bed and a small sofa bed and 1 bedroom with a double bed, a total of 4-6 beds.

The kitchen is equipped with most things you need for household use.

The stove and small refrigerator work with gas. A wood stove heats the cabin and is in the living room.

The sofa in the living room can easily be made into an extra double bed.

The cabin does not have electricity, but the solar system gives you electricity for lights and you can also charge your mobile phone or tablet. Charging works with a standard phone charging cable, bring your own.

Lovely sunny terrace in front of the cabin that gives you a nice view of the Hodnekilen. The cabin is located about 6 meters from the water and has a sunny location.

The cabin also has a rowboat in summer. The boat is used at your own risk, bring your own safety equipment so you have the right size. The barrel sauna and hot tub at the cabin work with wood.

The cabin does not have running water, but the sauna has a water tank that gets hot when you heat up the sauna, so it is easy to wash yourself by mixing cold and hot water into the sauna. The water for use is collected from the Kilen. Drinking water is brought with you.

The sauna is really relaxing. Recommended!

Hot tub: You have to fill up water with a water pump from Kilen and heat up the tub yourself. It takes about 1 hour to fill up the tub and 5-6 hours to get the tub warm and about 5-6 bags of wood. The tub costs 600 NOK. Then you get 6 bags of wood.

In winter, it takes longer to fill up and heat up, about 8 hours and 8 bags of wood.

If you want to buy more wood, 1 bag costs 100 NOK. Payable to the host.

It is not possible to bring your own firewood.

All firewood must be purchased from the cabin.

A weekend in the winter with a stove and sauna uses about 9 bags of firewood.

1 bag is included in the price.

If you want us to fill up the stove in advance and take a starting fire, it costs 1000 kr. extra.

In winter (1.12-15.4) we must have a weather reservation. It depends on how cold it is.

The cabin is rented out to people who are used to such nature/forest cabins. Families and 1-2 quiet, adult couples. NOT young people.

The owner has 2 cabins in the same area. About 100 m. From each other. There is a separate barrel sauna built at both cabins. The sandy beach and the piers are shared between the cabins. Those from other cabins are allowed to go to the pier and swim at the bathing beach.

To get to the cabin, you can choose whether to take a rowboat across Hodnekilen (takes about 4 minutes to row across) or whether to walk via the forest path about 250-300 m. In winter you have to walk.

Approx. 8 km. to Evje, where you will find shops, restaurants, etc.

Mineral park, go-kart, rafting, climbing forest are some of the things we want to mention. Take a trip to Kilefjord camping about 1.5 km from the cabin, where fishing licenses, fishing equipment, ice cream, fast food, etc. are sold.

Note!

-There may be some traffic noise from the road that runs on the other side of the water. if you can overlook it, it's a nice place to be otherwise.

- Sandy beach and piers are used by both cabins.

- Boat can only be used in summer time approx. 15.4-15.11

Otherwise it is approx. 250 m. to walk to the cabin.

No dog/cat due to allergies

Behave properly and respect other people's property.

- Do not destroy anything. Do not smoke inside the cabin,

- Bring bedding, towels, toilet paper, candles. Firewood is in the cabin.

- Bring drinking water

- Wash the cabin well after use

- Only rented to orderly families who are used to such nature/forest cabins. Only families and 1-2 quiet, adult couples over 23 years old. Not for young people / parties.
