We went to Iveland, to the treehouse called Ørnerede. The goal of the trip was to get a little away from the city, find peace in nature and just enjoy some days off with walks and good food in beautiful surroundings.
We went midweek, in winter. It was properly grey and cold outside, but perfect to be inside the cabin in the warmth.
This was a very unique and lovely experience. The cabin was gorgeous, both the building outside and the style inside.
There's an incredible view from every room, you get close to nature no matter where you are in the cabin. It was especially lovely to wake up and look straight into the forest, or sit down for dinner with the beautiful view.
On the deck there's a hot tub you can use whenever you like, and it's a short walk to a forest trail right outside the door.
What I liked best was the cohesive and beautiful style throughout the cabin.
It was really cozy with a Christmas tree and star, we got proper Christmas vibes. And breakfast in bed with an insanely good view, it doesn't get better than that!
It's a short walk from the cabin down to the water, where there are two canoes you can use in spring, summer and autumn. Signs were set up, so it was easy to find your way. We didn't really get to paddle much, since the water was frozen over.
Right next to the canoes there were also signs for hiking trails. There are many lovely paths to walk in the area, and truly beautiful nature.
You can use the hot tub as much as you like, it's heated at all times. There was also a fire pit you could use, with a nice seating area around it.
A playground is also being built in the area, which will be fun for kids once it's finished.
