I went on a peaceful weekend trip to the sky cabin in Siljan with my better half, with one goal in mind: to completely switch off and find calm.
We wanted a break from city life, and when we came across this unique cabin, we quickly realised it was the perfect place. Here we could embrace the silence, enjoy nature and truly let our shoulders drop.
It was a great bonus that the cabin was only a short drive from Oslo, yet we felt far from the hustle and bustle of the city. When we arrived, we instantly fell in love with the place, a warm and cosy cabin, designed so you felt at one with nature. The skylights let us lie in bed and look straight up at the starry sky, which gave a truly special feeling.
What really stood out was the location. The cabin sat right at the edge of a field, next to the water, and we felt completely alone in nature. No disturbances, just peace, quiet and a fantastic view.
It was the unique architecture, with large windows and an open roof design, combined with the wood-burning fireplace, that made the stay so special.
The bed was perfectly positioned with a panoramic view, and the lovely selection of drawing, painting and knitting supplies made room for creative relaxation in the peaceful waterside setting.
Have dinner by the fireplace for a romantic and cosy evening, or take a peaceful walk in the nature around the cabin with a cup of hot cocoa in your bag and enjoy the view over the water. Feel free to put your phone away and get creative, with drawing, painting and knitting supplies available, this place is perfect for letting your creativity flow.
