Settle in comfortably on the cabin's private covered terrace. Enjoy the surroundings and each other – included in the rental is also a bottle of our delicate rosé wine. The cabin is right next to the vineyards with a view of some of Denmark's oldest vines.
The cabin is beautifully decorated with a place to hang clothes, a cozy dining corner with a mini fridge. Most importantly, the beds are of good quality and made up for you upon arrival. On the terrace, comfortable chairs await in a cozy seating area. We emphasize creating a lovely getaway for those who need to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and want to experience a Danish organic/regenerative vineyard in operation. At Hideaway Vingård, you can enjoy the view over the island from the top of Fejø, 18 meters above sea level, grab one of our tandem bikes and experience Fejø with the wind in your hair, or lounge in the comfortable chairs inside or out, while time almost stands still.
Rental of the Solarishytte includes: Bedding, towels, and the option to use a tandem. Additionally, a breakfast tray is included, consisting of coffee and tea, breakfast bread, cheese, jam, butter, cold cuts, yogurt, milk, and muesli, and of course fresh fruit from the island in season. It is also possible to purchase lunch and a tour depending on when in the season you book. Check the opening hours on our website.
Toilet and shower, with handicap facilities and a beautiful shower niche, are located 65 meters from the cabin. We are the only ones on Fejø to have invested in a biological-chemical wastewater treatment plant, and for that reason, we have consolidated all wastewater activities so that they are discharged into nature via this facility. Therefore, there is no toilet and shower in the cabin.
When purchasing meal boxes:
You arrange with the host upon arrival when you want the box delivered. These are dishes that are easy to make with relatively short preparation time, based on local ingredients from skilled niche producers.
Note: Dogs are welcome, but on a leash as there are free-range geese in the vineyard that must not be hunted. If you bring a dog, please check this off under extras.
High season offers from Midsummer to the end of August, booked and purchased directly from the host:
Tour of the vineyard, fig arboretum, and winery with 2 tastings every day at 15:00 for kr. 150,- Lunch from 12:00 - 16:00.
Low season offers from Pentecost to the end of September, booked and purchased directly from the host:

The keywords for Hideaway Vineyard are hospitality, organic farming, and a passion for flavor. The wines express the unique soil and the next Mediterranean-like climate present at the vineyard. We aim for the stars and deliver wine to Michelin and top gastronomy. ENJOY our wines, the many exotic plants, a trip in the biodiversity oasis, a tandem ride, a bottle of wine on the terrace, and, perhaps, a tour and lunch at the vineyard's Traktørsted. It is always you, the guest, who is at the center. I look forward to welcoming you!

Summa summarum: The stay did not live up to the price and glamping concept for us. For a lower price, the level of service would have been acceptable, but for just over 1400 DKK per night, it did not meet our expectations. The cabin: The terrace is cozy, and the cabins are well-placed and undisturbed. A sofa bed for sleeping, which is cramped if you are over 190 cm tall. A door that cannot be closed. A kitchenette that lacks fundamental tools, such as kitchen knives, pans, and pots. A compost bin in the middle of the terrace filled with food scraps from the previous week's guests. This detracts from our experience of the cabin. The bathroom/toilet and urinal are about 60 meters from the nearest cabin. You share with the other cabin and the restaurant itself. So it is not easy to be the glamorous type who wants to have a long bath or a good time in the toilet. It is also at the toilet where you have to fetch water. For water collection, there is one approximately 5-liter glass jar in the cabin. I would not describe the water collection as a glamorous part of the stay either. It would be a small service from the host's side to ensure that guests have fresh water every day. Another not very glamorous part of the stay was that you had to rinse your own dishes. Rinsing dishes is not a problem in itself, but when you do not have running water in the cabin, you still have to go down to the kitchen to rinse off. So it is not far to do the dishes yourself when there is an industrial dishwasher in the kitchen. It would again be easy service points from the host if you did not have to deal with the dishes. The farm: The actual area with the restaurant is beautiful, with a charming winery reminiscent of the Mediterranean. There are some lovely fruit trees in the garden. The backyard is decorated with weeds and an old caravan. The walk from the courtyard up to the cabin passes by 3 tin sheds, which are stuffed with things that remind you that you need to clean up your own garage. You should not be afraid of dogs, as their dog runs freely on the site. It is undoubtedly a good dog that they have well under control in the family, but it can easily seem intimidating, growl threateningly, and bark, even at guests it has met before, if the family is not nearby. Breakfast: An okay selection for breakfast. The bread was a really good experience. At breakfast, a couple of guests asked if they could have some more coffee. In that connection, the host politely asked if we would like more coffee. "No, thank you." And poof, the host took our coffee pot and gave it to the other guests. This is some of the most awkward service I have experienced. It puts all guests in an awkward position. - We could probably have emptied our own coffee pot, and the other guests would have appreciated a fresh pot of coffee. The future: Ensuring that there is fresh water in the cabins every day and emptied compost bins, that the cabins are equipped with fundamental kitchen utensils, without guests having to deal with the dishes, are things that would earn an extra star in our book. Next, a better bed, better bathroom/toilet facilities, and a cleared path to the cabins could raise the level even higher. But it all depends on the overall service mindset improving.
