If you dream of getting more out into nature, learning more about it, and being with other adults, then a Nature Stay is just for you. This stay is specially designed for adults and older children over 15 years old.
When you book a nature stay at Skovsgaard, you get a complete package:
- A shelter furnished with mattresses, bedding, and coziness - designed for 2 people
- Access to a common room with regular ovens, refrigerator, dishes, and all basic kitchen equipment, shared with other guests
- Access to the entire Skovsgaard area with wild horses & cattle, exhibitions, nature workshops, hiking trails, etc.
- A daily program with activities
- Breakfast from Café Skovsgaard
As a guest at our nature stay, you will have the optimal conditions for a holiday with space for Nature Education, peace, and immersion. You decide how much you want to participate - but we recommend that you join the daily trips. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities for cooking. In our outdoor kitchen, there are fire pits, pizza ovens, and a kitchen wagon - and we recommend cooking in the company of other guests.
Every weekend during the summer holiday, we have an exciting program:
Friday:
3 PM: Welcome to the area and introduction to the place.
4 PM-7 PM: Foraging trip and cooking over the fire with help from a Nature Guide.
Saturday:
8:30 AM-10 AM: Breakfast at Café Skovsgaard
1 PM-3 PM: Guided biodiversity tour to Vildgræsningen with a nature guide.
Evening free on your own.
Sunday:
8:30 AM-10 AM: Breakfast at Café Skovsgaard
11 AM: Check out.
You are welcome to explore on your own all day, and in the evening, it is just you and the other guests who are in the area.
We would also like to point out that members of the Danish Society for Nature Conservation receive a 10% discount on all stays. The discount is obtained by logging into your member page on the Danish Society for Nature Conservation.

Nature destination Skovsgaard is full of exciting and wild nature experiences for families with children and nature enthusiasts. Experience cattle and wild horses living wild in the wild. Take the children on a wild hunt in nature and find exciting species you have not seen before. Explore the thickets and waterholes. Guess a shit and find life in dead trees. Cook food over a fire with ingredients from nature. Skovsgaard is located in southern Langeland in scenic surroundings. The property is owned by Danmarks Naturfond, which was founded by Danmarks Naturfredningsforening. Skovsgaard Gods has a total of 400 hectares of land, of which 245 are set aside for wild grazing and nature with cattle and wild horses, which you as a visitor can experience all year round. As a guest on our stay, you get access to our wild nature exhibitions, the Nature Workshop with the hunt for 99 wild species, petting goats, outdoor kitchen, tackle bank and much, much more. Also visit the organic Café Haven, try the hiking routes out into nature or learn more about the history in our machine and tractor exhibition and historical stories.
