Camper for rent in scenic surroundings in a small nature camp.
The camper has a 140 cm bed and a 120 cm bed, a folding table, and a couple of stools.
The kitchen/refrigerator in the camper is not in use, but right outside the camper is a wooden tent that has a private kitchen included in the rental. There is a dining table, chairs, a gas stove, and a simple selection of kitchen equipment. Drinking water can be obtained for free from us.
The camper has no heating but has solar panels for light. You can also charge your mobile phone with solar power.
There are 4 duvets and pillows in the camper.
Dogs are not allowed in this unit.
Biological toilet nearby.
The camper has recently been painted inside and new beds have been made, so there is good space inside, even a small crib fits.
We also built a wooden tent and terrace for this cabin.
In winter, we have another camper with a wood stove standing together with an outdoor kitchen.
Dogs are not allowed in the camper.
In the camp itself, on the other side of the river, there is also an outdoor kitchen and outdoor living room that are free to use. There are also some outdoor games you can borrow for free.
It is possible to rent a hot tub and sauna. The hot tub costs 550 - 750 kr/3 hours or by agreement. The price includes filling with water, starting the fire for heating, and cleaning. It takes about 1.5 hours to heat the tub.
The sauna costs 250 - 350 kr./2 hours including 1 bag of firewood and cleaning. (The sauna has a water tank that is heated when the sauna gets warm. Then you mix cold and hot water and pour it over yourself and wash as they did in ancient times inside the sauna). The sauna takes about 45 minutes to get warm.
Try combining it with a dip in the river in between. Refreshing!
Sletafjellet nearby is a popular mountain for mountain climbing. We also have a rowing boat that can be borrowed for free at the nearest lake. (2 hours per time) Lognavatn is about 7 km from the camp, where you can also fish. Fishing licenses can be purchased from Inatur. Bathing opportunities in the creek/river right next to the camp. Fire pit at the common area by the bridge on the other side of the river.
You can borrow a cooler bag from us with cooling elements for a longer stay.
Parking at the common parking lot: about 2 minutes walk from the parking lot. With a high car, you can sometimes drive your things right to the camper. It depends on the water level in the river, which varies a lot.
Håvestøl nature camp is a small, simple campsite without electricity and water and is nicely located by a small creek with a nice view of Sletafjell and has scenic surroundings while being a short distance from the road. We live by nature's premises. We want to keep it simple and are not a 5-star hotel. The place is well-suited for nature-loving people who want to take a little time out from the busy everyday life.
There is also space for some tents, and you can also rent a sleeping tent, sleeping hammock, or a couple of small cabins on wheels. The camp does not have electricity, but there is the possibility to charge mobile phones in the outdoor kitchen. Drinking water can be found at the outdoor kitchen, and utility water is fetched from the creek. All toilets in the area are biological.
It is about 25 minutes to Evje with a larger center with several shops, go-karting, rafting, mineral park, and climbing forest. It is about 15 minutes to Bortelid. There are hiking opportunities, mini-golf, canoe rentals, etc. It is about 22 minutes to Åseral center with a shop, Minne cultural center, and Oppas house. Many nice fishing lakes in the area and beautiful nature.
From 1.7.26 it is possible to come by bus from Evje to us. The bus must be booked 1 day in advance from Akt.
Remember that during summer time there are mosquitoes and gnats in nature-close areas!
Tip: Bring a metal bucket and burn pine cones at the campfire. Remember to extinguish.
-Also smart to bring some warm clothes.
Nights can be cold even in summer, so it helps a lot to have warm water in a bottle and a bottle under the duvet.
The pictures with the boat and large water are from Lognavatn where the boat is.
Guests bring their own bedding and towels.
-Guests clean the camper after use.
No dogs/cats in this unit.
