Welcome to Deer Cabin, a micro-cabin where you wake up to birdsong and mountain views and fall asleep to the sound of the river. A small, warm, and authentic place in the heart of nature. Here you can unwind and find peace. A cozy little cabin on wheels surrounded by nature, birdsong, the sound of the river, and plenty of forest animals in the area. The cabin is located in Håvestøl Nature Camp, a simple and quiet nature camp without electricity – perfect for those who want to slow down, disconnect, and be close to nature.

The cabin is approximately 10 m² and contains: Double bed (140×200 cm), dining table with 2 stools, mini-kitchen with gas stove (available indoors during the winter season, approx. 15.10–1.5). In the summer season, the camp's shared outdoor kitchen is used.

Wood stove for heating, 12V solar panel system with lights and USB charging (for mobile).

Outside you will find a small patio with table, chairs, and a fire pit, as well as access to the river right in front of the cabin. A biological compost toilet is located nearby.

Practical information: - A little wood for the first fire is included (Sep–May). More wood can be brought or purchased on-site. - Drinking water included (tap water is fetched from the river).

Bedding can be brought or rented. Cleaning is done by the guest. It is possible to borrow a cooler bag for free during longer stays.

Dogs are not allowed in this unit, but we have other cabins for rent where dogs are allowed.

The camp is without electricity – ideal for a true “off-grid” experience.

Make your stay extra special with a wood-fired hot tub or sauna! They are heated with wood and provide a completely unique nature experience under the open sky.

Prices – Hot tub (3 hours): May–30 Sept: kr 550, Oct–31 Oct: kr 650, Nov–30 Apr: kr 750.

Prices – Sauna (2 hours): May–30 Sept: kr 250, Oct–30 Nov: kr 300, Dec–30 Apr: kr 350.

About the area: Håvestøl Nature Camp is a small and peaceful place surrounded by forest and river but still with a short distance to the road. There is good distance between the units for maximum privacy and quiet.

Nearby you will find: mountain hikes, climbing, and fishing opportunities. Rowboat on Lognavatn.

Bortelid (15 min): skiing, alpine, hiking trails, and shops.

Evje and Åseral (approx. 20–25 min): shops, restaurants, culture, and activities.

Transport: the nearest bus stop is Røynli (approx. 6.5 km). For longer stays, we can offer free pick-up and drop-off by arrangement.

You who want a little break from everyday life.

It is possible to rent a hot tub and barrel sauna for an extra fee. In the summer season, they are at the camp, but when the snow and frost come, they will be moved to the farm nearby, approx. 15.11 - 1.5. Then they can be used there in a private, enclosed "spa corner". The sauna has a water tank that heats water, so it is possible to wash yourself in the sauna with hot water.

The cabin is new and is placed in a temporary location over the winter. The cabin will be moved to another place when spring comes. ☆ More pictures coming soon.

- To the nearest bus stop Røynli (Røynlid) it is about 6.5 kilometers. When booking a slightly longer period, we can pick up and return to Røynlid for free. (Please help us and feel free to call Akt - bus and ask for a bus to Håvestøl Nature Camp.)
