Welcome to Hjortebu, a micro-cabin where you wake up to birdsong and mountain views and fall asleep to the sound of the river.
A small, warm and genuine place in the middle of nature
Here you can relax and find peace.
A cozy little cabin on wheels surrounded by lots of nature, birdsong, the sound of the river and lots of forest animals in the area.
The cabin is located in Håvestøl Naturcamp, a simple and quiet nature camp without electricity - perfect for those who want to slow down, disconnect and be close to nature.

The cabin is approx. 10 m² and contains:
Double bed (140×200 cm), dining table with 2 stools, mini-kitchen with gas burner hob (available during the winter, approx. 15.10–1.5)
In the summer, the camp's shared outdoor kitchen is used.

Wood stove for heating,
12V solar system with light and USB charging (for mobile)

Outside you will find a small area with table, chairs and fire pit, as well as access to the river right in front of the cabin.
Biological compost toilet is located nearby.

Practical information:
-A little wood for the first fire is included (Sep-May)
More wood can be brought or purchased on site.
-Drinking water included (useful water is collected from the river)

Bed linen can be brought or can be rented
Cleaning is done by the guest.
It is possible to borrow a cooler bag for free for longer stays

Dogs are not allowed in this unit, but we also have other cabins for rent where dogs are allowed.

The camp is without electricity - ideal for a true "off-grid" experience

Extra experiences:

About the area:
Håvestøl Naturcamp is a small and peaceful place surrounded by forest and river but at the same time with a short distance to the road.
There is a good distance between the units for maximum privacy and silence.

Nearby you will find:
mountain hikes, climbing and fishing opportunities.
Rowboat on Lognavatn

Bortelid (15 min): skiing, alpine skiing, hiking trails and shops

Evje and Åseral (approx. 20–25 min): shops, restaurants, culture and activities

Transport: nearest bus stop is Røynli (approx. 6.5 km).
For longer stays, we can offer free pick-up and drop-off by arrangement.

Those who want a little break from everyday life

It is possible to rent a hot tub and barrel sauna for an additional fee. During the summer months they are at the camp, but when the snow and frost come, they are moved to the farm right nearby. approx. 15.11 -1.5. Then they can be used there in a private, fenced "spa corner"
The sauna has a water tank that heats water so it is possible to wash in the sauna with hot water.

The cabin is new and is placed in a temporary place over the winter. The cabin will be moved to another place when spring comes.

-The nearest bus stop Røynli (Røynlid) is about 6.5 kilometers. When booking a slightly longer period, we can pick up and bring back to Røynlid for free. (Please help us and feel free to call Akt - bus and ask for a bus to Håvestøl nature camp)
