Welcome to Deer Cabin, a micro-cabin where you wake up to birdsong and mountain views and fall asleep to the sound of the river.

A cozy little cabin on wheels surrounded by nature, birdsong, the sound of the river, and plenty of forest animals in the area.
The cabin is located in Håvestøl Nature Camp, a simple and quiet nature camp without electricity – perfect for those who want to slow down, disconnect, and be close to nature.

The cabin is approximately 10 m² and includes:
A double bed (140×200 cm), a dining table with 2 stools, a mini-kitchen with a gas burner.

Wood stove for heating,
12V solar panel system with lights and USB charging (for mobile)

Outside, you will find a small patio with a table, chairs, and a fire pit, as well as access to the river right in front of the cabin.
A biological compost toilet is located nearby.

Practical information:
-Some firewood for the first lighting is included (Sep–May)
More firewood can be brought by yourself or purchased on-site.
-Drinking water included (utility water is fetched from the river)

Bedding can be brought or rented
Cleaning is done by the guest.
It is possible to borrow a cooler bag for free for longer stays.

Dogs are not allowed in this unit, but we have other cabins for rent where dogs are permitted.

The camp is without electricity – ideal for a true “off-grid” experience.

Extra experiences:

Make your stay extra special with a wood-fired hot tub or sauna!
They are heated with wood and provide a completely unique nature experience under the open sky.

About the area:
Håvestøl Nature Camp is a small and peaceful place surrounded by forest and river but still with a short distance to the road.
There is good distance between the units for maximum privacy and quiet.

Nearby you will find:
mountain hikes, climbing, and fishing opportunities.
Rowboat on Lognavatn

Bortelid (15 min): skiing, alpine, hiking trails, and shop

Evje and Åseral (about 20–25 min): shops, restaurants, culture, and activities

Transport: the nearest bus stop is Røynli (about 6.5 km).
For longer stays, we can offer free pickup and drop-off by arrangement.
