Small cabin trailer "Maxi" on wheels on the edge of a small and quiet nature camp in scenic surroundings right next to a small river / stream with partial views of Sletafjellet. Fire pit for evening coziness right outside the trailer.
The trailer Maxi is a simple cabin and is insulated but does not have running water and electricity. Heating is with a wood stove. Bring your own firewood. You can also buy it from the camp. (110 NOK / 60 liter large bag.)
NOTE: In the period 25.8 - 1.5 includes a small bag of firewood for heating.

Solar panel provides power for some light (one light in cabin) and it is possible to charge mobile phone and tablet. Bring your own USB cable and car charger. Also candles in cabin.

Bed is a double bed 140 cm. with 2 duvets and 2 pillows. Table and couple of chairs.

The guest brings their own bed linen and towels. Bed linen can be rented for 150 NOK/ 2 sets of towels for 50 NOK/ each. 
The guest washes the cabin after use.

In the summer, you must use the communal kitchen on the other side of the river.
In the communal kitchen there is drinking water, a simple selection of kitchenware. Pots, frying pan, plates etc. and a gas burner for cooking.
Here you can also charge your phone.

Biological compost toilet near the cabin. (no water) about 15 meters from the cabin.

-Well-behaved and calm dogs are allowed.
The dog must not get on the bed but stay on the floor :) 

In winter, the trailer is moved to another side of the camp. Read about it a little further down. 

It is possible to rent a hot tub and barrel sauna for an additional fee. Nice spa experience. Combine it with a dip in the river.
There is no shower at the camp but you can wash yourself in the sauna. When the sauna stove is heated, it also heats the water.

The hot tub is filled with new water each time and heated with wood. Takes 1 -2 hours to heat up. Hot tub must be booked 1 day in advance.

Sauna is heated with wood.
Sauna can be booked on the same day. Takes about 40 minutes to get hot and can be used all year round. In the sauna you have the opportunity to heat water and wash yourself.

NOTE! Sauna and hot tub must be booked 1-2 days in advance. If there is a shorter deadline, ask the host before booking

NOTE: in the period from about 15.5 - 30.11. the hot tub and sauna have been moved to our nature camp which is located about 500 m. from the farm and must be used there.
A nice place has been prepared for them in a yard with Christmas lights and a nice atmosphere.
We are available to drive you back and forth if desired. The sauna will be moved back to the camp again about *****. There is weather conditions with the hot tub in the winter. It can be used up to -7 c. The sauna can be used all year round. Combine the sauna with a snow bath in the winter. 
The camp itself on the other side of the river will be rigged down in the winter.

In the winter / autumn period from about 10.9 - 1.5, the caravan is moved together with a small brown cabin that contains a private outdoor kitchen and outdoor living room. In summer, the caravan will be moved back to the summer site next to the river along with a small terrace, fire pit and a couple of chairs and tables. In summer, you must use the communal kitchen on the other side of the river.
The winter kitchen has a gas burner and kitchen equipment and a sink. Solar lights and charging facilities. 
It is also possible to rent a gas heater for the winter kitchen for an additional fee.

Håvestøl nature camp is a small, simple campsite without electricity and water and is nicely located by a small stream with a nice view of Sletafjell and has scenic surroundings while being a short distance from the road. We live by nature's premises. We want to keep it simple and are not a 5 star hotel. The place is perfect for nature lovers who want to have a little time out from everyday busy times.

There is usually a lot of snow at the camp so it is possible to have snow activities in the winter.

Sletafjellet nearby is a popular mountain for mountain climbing. We also have a rowboat that can be borrowed for free at the nearest lake. (2 hours per time) Lognavatn about 7 km from the camp, where you can also fish. Buy your own fishing license. Swimming opportunities in the stream/river right next to the camp. You can also use the outdoor area in the summer where you will also find some outdoor games that you can borrow for free. Biological toilet nearby. 

In summer we also rent out floating tents, hammocks, a couple of small cabins on wheels and a few tent sites. The camp does not have electricity but has solar cells so you can charge your phone.
Most of the camp is located as far apart as possible to ensure that everyone gets as much privacy as possible. In the winter, only this cabin is rented out.

The caravan and the camp are constantly being improved so there are always new things coming. The water level in the river is very variable. With the season, the nature also varies.

It is about 25 km to Evje, where you can find many grocery stores, mineral park, rafting, climbing forest, go-karts etc.
To Åseral kyrkjebygda it is about 25 km, grocery store, gas station, Minne cultural center etc.
To Bortelid it is about 15 km. There you will find a bike and hiking trails, mini golf, canoe rental, small shop etc.
It is about 90 km to Kristiansand and 90 km to Arendal.

Transport to Håvestøl nature camp: If you don't have a car, you can take, for example, a plane or ferry to Kristiansand which is the closest station. From there you can take a bus to Evje and for example. bus from Evje onwards to Røynlid in Åseral municipality, we will pick you up from Røynlid completely free of charge. We can also pick you up from Evje for a slightly longer stay for a small extra fee.
