We have a small, simple one-room farm cabin / hut standing on the farm and we thought if anyone would like to spend the night in rural surroundings and like such simple cabin life on a farm. The cabin has a sofa bed, bed 140 cm. and table with a couple of stools. Simply furnished but cozy. There is electricity and heating but no water. 
There is a simple outdoor kitchen in the lavvo (tipi) right outside the cabin with the most necessary things you need for cooking. There you will also find a fire pan, gas burner and drinking water. Drinks and water are provided free of charge from us.
It is great to sit in the lavvo, light a stake pan and get some warmth, campfire and grilling.
In the period 1.5 - 1.10 there is also a refrigerator in the lavvo with a small freezer

You can use the lavvo for free. Bring your own firewood or it can also be purchased from us. 

We have built a separate "spa area" for the barrel sauna and hot tub on our farm. Not too far from the cabin. It is used in winter when the barrel sauna and hot tub are on the farm. They can be rented for an extra fee. In summer and autumn the hot tub and sauna are moved next to the river at our nature camp about 500 meters from the cabin and must be used there.

There is no possibility of a shower but the sauna / barrel sauna has a water tank that can be filled and it heats water when you light the wood stove in the sauna and then you can wash yourself in the sauna the old fashioned way. Mix cold and hot water and pour water over you. By the way, washing yourself in the sauna is very refreshing. And there is also a nice view of the mountain.

The toilet is outside the cabin and it is biological / compost. (without water) 
Dogs are allowed but not on the bed / sofa.
There is a leash in the yard because of sheep 

There is an Internet amplifier at the cabin and for water use goes good but not strong enough to stream movies.

Possible to borrow a rowboat for free in the nearest lake Lognavatn (7 kilometers from the cabin) as long as there is no ice. Bring your own life jackets.
You must buy a fishing license yourself.
There are many good fishing lakes in Åseral municipality and many hiking trails.

The hot tub is filled with new water each time and heated with wood. Takes 1 -2 hours to heat up. Hot tub must be booked 1 day before.

The sauna is heated with wood. The stove heats the water so you can wash yourself in the sauna.
Takes about 40 minutes to get hot and can be used all year round.

NOTE: in the period about 1.5 - 15.11. the hot tub and sauna have been moved to our nature camp which is about 500 m. from the farm and must be used there.

☆ Sauna and steam room must be reserved 1-2 days in advance but ask the host if there is availability even with shorter notice.

This is a farm with sheep. The cabin is located near our house. Cars drive back and forth, the sheep walk outside and a tractor drives past in between. Our children can play outside and we can have visitors. In the log cabin In their yard there may also be other people and then the outdoor toilet is shared between these cabins (very rare)
At the same time, there is also quieter times and surroundings are rural and calm

Åseral municipality is known for its beautiful nature and lots of hiking trails both winter and summer. In winter, there are miles of cross-country skiing trails and 3 alpine centers in Åseral. The nearest ski center and cross-country skiing trails at Bortelid are about a 15-minute drive.

Soon you can also rent a log cabin in the yard, if you are, for example, 2 couples.
The log cabin is small and will contain:
Bed 120 cm, a couple of chairs and a small table. 
Electricity and wood stove.

If you want a cabin all to yourself, we have several cabins. Ask.

-about 25 minutes Evje mineral park, rafting and climbing forest and shops.
-about 15-20 minutes to Bortelid with alpine center, about 110 km of groomed cross-country trails and shop. In summer, Bortelid is known for many nice 
hiking and walking trails, mini golf and a roller ski slope etc.
-25 minutes to Åseral kyrkjebygda center with Minne cultural center, coop store, gas station.
-7 minutes to the nearest lake where the rowboat is.
☆Bedding can be rented 150 NOK / bed. (sheet, 2 duvet and 2 pillowcases) 
☆Cleaning can be ordered 100 NOK.

Transport to get to our farm / or to Håvestøl nature camp: If you don't have a car, you can take a plane or ferry to Kristiansand which is the closest station. From there you can take a bus to Evje and for example, bus from Evje to Røynlid in Åseral municipality, we will pick you up from Røynlid for free. We can also pick you up from Evje for a longer stay for a small extra fee.
