Small, cute mini log cabin for rent by a farm. The cabin is small and simple, about 8 m2 inside. It contains a bed 120 cm × 200, 2 duvets and a pillow, a small table with a couple of stools, and an armchair and a wood stove. The cabin is best suited for 1 person but can accommodate 2 if desired.
Electricity in the cabin and additionally there is a wood stove. Heating with a panel heater and wood stove.
Wood for 1 - 2 firings is included in the price.

The cabin is a log cabin and is a bit dark inside. It has several atmospheric lights in the cabin, so the ambiance is good.
Outside the cabin, there is a lavvu (tipi) that contains a fire pit, seating, and a small, simple outdoor kitchen with a hot plate and some kitchen equipment. During the period 1.6 - 1.9, there is also a small refrigerator in the lavvu with a tiny freezer.
Biological compost toilet outside.
If you are several couples traveling, there is the possibility to rent the small farm cabin that is in the same yard.
Otherwise, the other cabin is usually closed if the other is rented out. There is no water in the cabin or outdoor kitchen, but you will receive free drinking water from us. We will do the dishes.

This is a farm with sheep. The cabin is located near our house. Cars drive back and forth, the sheep walk outside, and tractors pass by in between. Our children can play outside, and we can receive visitors.
At the same time, there are also quieter moments, and the surroundings are rural and calm.

☆It is possible to rent a sauna and hot tub that are on the farm during wintertime from about 15.11 - 1.5 and summer/autumn from about 1.5 - 15.11, they are by the river at our nature camp about 500 m from the cabin.

Sauna and tub should preferably be reserved 1-2 days in advance, but ask the host if there is available time with shorter notice.


We have built a separate fenced area "spa corner" for the barrel sauna and hot tub on our farm. Not far from the cabin.

The tub is filled with new water each time and heated with wood. It takes 1 - 2 hours to heat up. The hot tub must be ordered 1 day in advance.

The sauna is heated with wood. The water tank in the sauna is filled up, and the water is heated so it is possible to wash in the sauna.
By the way, it is very refreshing to wash in the sauna. And there is also a nice view over the mountain.

Dogs are allowed but not on the bed.
There is a leash requirement on the farm due to sheep.


It is possible to borrow a rowing boat for free in the nearest lake as long as there is no ice. Bring your own life jackets.
Fishing licenses must be purchased by yourself.
There are many good fishing waters in Åseral municipality and many hiking trails.


Wood can be purchased from us. 110 kr. large bag
and 60 kr. small bag.
-Bedding can be rented for 150 kr / made up. (sheet, 2 duvets, and 2 pillows)

Åseral municipality is known for its beautiful nature and many hiking trails both winter and summer. In winter, there are miles of cross-country skiing trails and a total of 3 ski centers in Åseral. The nearest ski and alpine center and cross-country trails at Bortelid are about a 15-minute drive away.
-about 25 minutes to Evje mineral park, rafting, climbing forest, and shops.
-about 15-20 minutes to Bortelid with ski center, about 110 km of groomed cross-country trails, and shops. In summer, Bortelid is known for many beautiful hiking and walking trails, mini-golf, and a roller ski track, etc.
-25 minutes to Åseral church village center with Minne cultural center, coop store, gas station.
-7 minutes to the nearest lake where the rowing boat is.

Transport to get to our farm/or to Håvestøl nature camp: If you do not have a car, you can take, for example, a flight or ferry to Kristiansand, which is the nearest station. From there, you can take a bus to Evje and, for example, a bus from Evje further to Røynlid in Åseral municipality, then we will pick you up from Røynlid completely free of charge. We can also pick up from Evje with a slightly longer stay for a small extra fee.

• From 1.7 it is possible to come by bus from Evje to us. The bus must be booked 1 day in advance from Akt.
